Comprehensive Audiology Services

Audiologists work with people to maintain hearing health.  They specialize in prevention, identification and assessment of hearing loss. 

Audiology Services include:

q Evaluation of hearing loss, including identification of  
        type and severity
q    Electronstagmography (ENG) evaluation to aid the
        physician diagnosing patients with disturbed
        equilibrium.
q    Hearing aid sales, service and batteries
q    Consultation regarding the effects of hearing loss in
        educational settings with management strategies and
        inservices.
q    Newborn hearing screening
q    Consultation regarding chronic otitis media and the
        possible effects on speech and language
       development
q    Listening devices to better enhance the
       communication process for the hearing impaired,
       including devices for the home and office.
q    Conservation and annual hearing evaluation
        programs for businesses and industries in
        Southeastern Wyoming.  The testing programs
        offered at IMH comply with OSHA guidelines.
q    Fitting children and adults with custom-made ear     
        plugs for noise reduction, swimming and
       occupational hazards.
