Ivinson Awarded Four Best of the Best Awards
Ivinson Memorial Hospital was recognized by the Laramie Boomerang in the annual Best of the Best, The Official Community Choice Awards 2023.
Ivinson was recognized as the best in four categories: Best Family Practice, Best Women’s Health, Best Audiology/Hearing Clinic and Best Place to Work.
The Laramie Boomerang’s Best of the Best is a community based award that is driven by votes collected by the Boomerang from our very own community.
“It’s our promise to be trusted partners in world-class healthcare” Ivinson’s CEO Doug Faus said. “To have our community pick Ivinson as their choice in family care, for women’s health and audiology means that we are doing our part to live up to that promise. We take pride in making Ivinson a great place to work and receive care and these community based awards demonstrate that.”
Ivinson Medical Group is home to nearly 30 healthcare providers that treat patients for a variety of needs including women’s health, pediatric and family care, primary care and internal medicine, geriatrics, general surgery, urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics and urgent care needs.
Ivinson’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic received recognition for their audiology services that are provided by Ivinson’s Audiologist Amy Weaver. Amy provides one-on-one hearing evaluations utilizing state-of-the-art testing equipment for diagnostic audiological and vestibular evaluation.
“Audiologists can help individuals manage hearing conservation, tinnitus, balance and hearing loss. Even when an individual doesn’t feel like they are experiencing hearing loss, there are other reason to visit the audiologist,” Amy explains. “Audiologists can also do hearing evaluations to establish a baseline for an auditory system, this can help when there is a need for comparison with baseline hearing measures.”
Ivinson employs over 650 employees in the Laramie community with a satellite clinic located in Cheyenne and teams that travel to Wheatland, Rawlins and Saratoga to provide specialty care in communities where it otherwise may not be available. Employment at Ivinson ranges from nursing to clinical techs, occupations in the trades and several professional positions.
