Written by Breann Lujan-Halcon
Ivinson Memorial Hospital was recently named a 2020 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The Chartis Center for Rural Health is a rural health research and advisory firm with offices that span from San Francisco to New York. The list was announced at the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health Policy Institute conference on Feb. 11 – 13 in Washington D.C.
“It really speaks to Ivinson as a whole,” said Ivinson’s Chief Executive Officer, Doug Faus. “Every team member, in every department at Ivinson works to make our hospital what it is. We strive to provide our community with world-class healthcare each time someone walks through our doors. This recognition is on account of our entire team and the work they do every day.”
Standings were determined based on the iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX® which is made up entirely of publicly available data. Using 50 independent indicators, the INDEX evaluates hospital performance across eight pillars of performance from market, value and finance based categories. Hospitals recognized as a Top 100 facility had one of the 100 highest overall scores among all Rural & Community Hospitals nationally.
