Ivinson To Offer Orthopedic Services

“We are proud to offer specialist services at Ivinson like orthopedics,” Chief Executive Officer, Doug Faus said. ​“In rural areas, it is not only important that these services be accessible to patients but also that patients are given local options to choose the care that best fits their needs.”

With the opening of orthopedic services, Ivinson will be able to offer a dedicated, on-site orthopedic physician, providing consistent emergency call coverage and expanded surgical services for patients at Ivinson Medial Group.

“By providing additional specialized care at Ivinson, it is our hope that more patients can receive their care locally, rather than being transferred to a larger facility,” Faus explained. ​“The nature of orthopedic cases can be complicated and often requires frequent follow-ups. Our providers will have the opportunity to diagnose patients from the emergency room, perform surgeries in our OR, then follow up with that patient right here in our clinic — keeping patient care all under one roof.” 

The orthopedic clinic will join the ear nose and throat, general surgery and urology specialties currently offered at Ivinson Medical Group.

“We are in the process of finalizing our orthopedic surgeon team and plan to have three physicians begin providing services later this month. These exciting next steps will allow us to improve patient access, satisfaction and quality of care, right here in Laramie,” explained Faus.
