Growing our Expertise: Ivinson's New ENT Surgeon
Ivinson Welcomes ENT Surgeon Frederick Freeman, MD.
Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon Frederick Freeman, MD joins the surgical clinic at Ivinson Medical Group where he is now seeing patients for ear, nose, throat (ENT) and allergy needs.
Dr. Freeman is a board certified Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Physician with over 30 years of specialized experience in his field. Specializing in sinus disease and surgery, management of pediatric and adult allergy and immunotherapy, ear nose and throat concerns and disorders, and management of head and neck masses.
Dr. Freeman, joining the Ivinson team from Converse County, has been serving Wyoming communities since 2006. While practicing in Douglas, he served as both thee Chief of Staff and the ENT/Allergy Medical Director.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Freeman attended the University of Miami where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, while also being a part of the Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Epsilon Delton National Pre-Med Honor Society. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he remained at the University of Miami to complete medical school. Following medical school, he took up an internship working in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Then pursuing residency Dr. Freeman attended Duke University Medical Center specializing in Otolaryngology.
“My care philosophy is to listen and take care of patients in an extremely caring and compassionate way,” Dr. Freeman says. “My goal is to manage each individual patient in an appropriate way so they have the best outcome.”
Dr. Freeman is a fellow of both the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American of College Surgeons. Returning to the classroom, Dr. Freeman has served as a visiting professor for Duke University, teaching the new generations of surgeons.
When he’s not tending to the needs of patients, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and attending community activities. He is looking forward to soon being a part of Laramie’s community.
