Meet Ivinson's New CMO Tim Kirsch, MD
Ivinson welcomes Tim Kirsch, MD, as Chief Medical Officer, bringing 20+ years of clinical and physician-leadership experience to the hospital admin team.
Ivinson Memorial Hospital is excited to announce Tim Kirsch, MD, as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the newest member of the hospital’s Senior Leadership Team.
Kirsch brings more than two decades of medical and physician-leadership experience and will play a vital role in strengthening the connection between Ivinson’s medical staff and administration.
A Wyoming native, Kirsch has been a familiar face at Ivinson since 2021, providing anesthesia care in Ivinson’s surgery center, as part of the Ivinson’s partnership with Northern Colorado Anesthesia Professionals. He has also served as the hospital’s anesthesia medical director for several years, working closely with clinical teams, medical staff and hospital leadership.
“Dr. Kirsch brings a unique clinical perspective to our team that will help guide operations and inform patient-centered decisions at Ivinson,” said Doug Faus, CEO. “Because he continues to provide care, he understands firsthand what providers, nurses and patients experience every day, and that insight will strengthen the care we deliver as a community hospital.”
Dr. Kirsch earned his medical degree from Creighton University, completed his anesthesia residency at University of Cincinnati Hospital, and finished his post-graduate training with a fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Building on his extensive clinical background, Dr. Kirsch has held numerous physician-leadership roles, contributed to quality and education initiatives and supported the development of service lines across several hospitals and health systems.
In his role as CMO, Dr. Kirsch will continue providing patient care while serving as Ivinson’s senior physician leader. This model allows him to continue to connect directly with patients and medical staff, and relay the needs and perspectives of these groups back to Ivinson’s senior leadership team.
The addition of a Chief Medical Officer to the hospital’s administration is a key part of Ivinson’s continued commitment to enhance communication, support provider engagement and ensure world-class care for the Laramie community.
“I’m honored to serve my community in this new capacity,” said Dr. Kirsch. “As the clinical voice of the medical staff, I am eager to collaborate with the team to ensure innovative, personalized patient care that aligns with the organization’s strategic business objectives and ongoing financial stewardship.”
Dr. Kirsch accepted the role of Chief Medical Officer earlier this month.
