Sheridan Walker

As an admitting representative, Sheridan Walker is one of the first to see patients receiving outpatient care at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.

In addition to verifying information for radiology, surgery, cardiopulmonary, the laboratory, pre-admission visit and education (PAVE) and direct admission patients, those in Admitting at Ivinson are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.

Interacting with patients is one of Sheridan’s favorite aspects of her job. I love the close relationships that I have developed with patients and their families,” said Sheridan. Some patients will request me when they come in — it makes me feel really appreciated for what I do.”

She joined our healthcare team in July 2017. While she was not actively looking for a new job, she stumbled upon the open position online. At my interview, I was really impressed by how friendly everyone was,” said Sheridan. People are truly happy to be here.”

Originally from Lyman, Wyoming, Sheridan moved to Laramie to continue her education. She is currently working on her degree in sociology, taking classes online. Her husband, Clint, will graduate in May with a degree in computer engineering.

Between working at Ivinson and completing classwork, Sheridan enjoys competing in pageants. It’s my one expensive hobby,” said Sheridan. She is currently Mrs. Albany County 2019 and will be competing for the title of Mrs. Wyoming in late March. As she competes, Sheridan is raising money for Victoria’s Voice — a charity aimed at reducing drug experimentation, addition and overdose death.

Thank you, Sheridan, for always providing compassionate customer service to our patients receiving outpatient care!
