Ivinson Memorial Hospital’s Education Reimbursement Program offers career and educational assurance for Ivinson’s non-provider employees. The maximum yearly reimbursement is determined by the employee’s FTE with the added bonus of doubling the highest tiers yearly maximum reimbursement to $5,000

With tuition costs in Wyoming increasing by an average of 2.6% since 2023 [1] at accredited 4‑year universities this reimbursement aims to help those wanting to grow and pursue further education. Policy and criteria for education eligibility is to be pursuing a certification, recertification, or a program from an accredited school or association. Additionally, a time commitment to Ivinson Memorial Hospital of 1 year after completing all education requirements is necessary for eligibility. For our employees that require a payment plan for their education Ivinson offers accommodations that does not affect eligibility. Looking into this opportunity is especially vital for anyone interested in educational growth as applications are available to employees at any time without the need for pre-approval or to check eligibility.

The goal of this program is for our non-provider staff to have access to growth opportunities and education that will benefit both IMH and the employee. For those interested in the program your hours worked per pay period matched with its fitting full-time equivalent level (FTE) is the education reimbursement you may qualify for. Education must not be for licenses or certifications required by position, or paid for via scholarships or grants which do not require repayment by the employee. Eligible education is determined by its direct benefit to Ivinson and if provided by an accredited entity. Additionally, to meet requirements for education reimbursement, staff must not have received any disciplinary action in the last (6) months.

A reimbursement recipient and Ivinson’s Application Analyst Jerry Rice found the program to be very beneficial to his education explaining, I think it’s awesome that we are a facility that can offer this program. I was already planning to get my certification but having the reimbursement allowed me to focus more on the education I was getting instead of how I will be paying for it later on.”

He found the program to be inspiring overall, mentioning that the one-year commitment was an amazing return on investment for the money provided. The education reimbursement was a safety net for his Certified Imaging Informatics Professional Certification. Other employees that have used this program highlight the ease of applying, Job security, and how much they would recommend people take advantage of this opportunity. In particular they really enjoyed the 1‑year commitment policy describing it as extremely reasonable especially due to the factor of their current commitment to Ivinsion going unchanged.

I worked at Ivinsion for 11 year in the business office prior to using the program, and it’s a good job to have, though without the reimbursement I probably would not have gotten my bachelor’s in healthcare administration. The requirements gave me motivation to be a good student and grow in the career I am already working in.” – Kristine Brosmire, Ivinson’s Medicare Specialist

The following items that will not be covered by this program include: books, supplies, conferences, and grants or scholarships you don’t repay. Monetary limitations with this program are a reimbursement ceiling of $25,000. Reimbursement for staff accepted into the program will be applied on the next pay period with proof of passing grade or certification earned, proof of payment, and a signed agreement. We strive to bring community and excellence to our hard working and valuable team and this program is Ivinsion doing its part in helping our personnel grow.
