Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us serve patients in our community. Apply today to get started.
We work closely with our clinical staff to ensure each volunteer has a meaningful experience and a big impact on the patient experience.
Our program allows volunteers to choose a schedule that works for them. Volunteers can assist in a number of areas throughout the hospital, including the following:
| Cancer Center | Welcome patients and guests to our Cancer Center and of direction within the hospital. Offer support to patients receiving treatment and provide assistance to Staff. |
| Coffee Stations | Stock supplies and maintain area for Coffee Stations in our medical office building and around the hospital. |
| Dialysis | Offer support to patients receiving treatment and provide assistance to staff. The Patient Art Program is a welcome activity for patients in this department. |
| East Patient Entrance | Welcome patients and guests and offer direction within the hospital. Support staff with maintenance of supplies and equipment. Keep areas neat and organized. |
| Family Care Unit | Assist staff in ways that allow them to do their best work for our patients. |
| Foundation Events | If you are interested in helping the Foundation with annual events, please contact the Foundation directly at (307) 755‑4520 or foundation@ivinsonhospital.org. |
| Gift Shop | Assist with sales, shop decoration, and organization. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. |
| Patient Art Program | This Art Program is funded by the IMH Foundation’s Women in Courage group. The program was developed to help patients throughout IMH participate in art and help with their healing process. |
| Pharmacy | Assist staff in ways that allow them to do their best work for our patients. |
| Quality Management | Be a part of our Patient and Family Advisory Council. Working together with our community helps us identify ways to make our hospital better; this council meets once a month and members share helpful information. |
| Radiology | Assist staff in ways that allow them to do their best work for our patients. |
| Snack Cart | Share goodies with patients and guests. |
| Surgery Waiting Room | Provide family support and assist staff. Keep area neat and organized. |

Our Auxiliary Volunteer Organization was founded in 1951. Since then many hours have been donated, including 3,338 hours in 2018. Additionally, this group has assisted the hospital in the purchase of major equipment through their various fundraising endeavors. We encourage all volunteers to be a part of the Auxiliary Volunteer Organization. The quarterly meetings provide opportunities for our volunteers to get to know each other and be a part of this continuing legacy.
