National Denim Day takes place the last Wednesday of April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This day of action and awareness is an event in which people are encouraged to wear denim in order to combat victim blaming and to educate others about sexual violence. Ivinson works to provide SANE on-call coverage throughout the entire hospital. SANE staff may respond to instances of child abuse, elder abuse, sexual assault and other forms of violence.
