Josh Garza Joins Convenient Care Clinic
Josh is a certified Physician Assistant in Ivinson's Convenient Care Clinic.
The Convenient Care team at Ivinson Medical Group is growing. Josh Garza is a board certified physician assistant who has worked providing urgent care services since 2015.
We welcome Josh to Ivinson through our partner Aligned Providers Wyoming. Aligned has partnered with Ivinson since 2020, providing independently managed provider services to our emergency department and Convenient Care. Josh now joins the Convenient Care team where he will regularly provide patient care alongside Ryan Russi, DNP.
Coming from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Josh worked in the Regional West Urgent Care treating a wide range of acute illnesses, viral, bacterial and respiratory infections, pulmonary illnesses, musculoskeletal injuries, urinary tract issues, and women’s and men’s health concerns.
“I would describe my care philosophy as caring and patient centered,” Josh said. “I listen to my patients and involve them in the decision making process. I want my patients to leave my clinic feeling listened to and like they had a say in their own healthcare decisions.”
Josh earned his bachelors of science from Chadron State in Chadron, Nebraska and then went on to earn his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Josh is a board certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He also holds an active DEA licensure, allowing him to diagnose his patients and prescribe medication accordingly.
In his nearly eight years of urgent care practice, Josh has cared for patients in all stages of life. He is trained in several in office procedures including incisions and drainage, suturing, splinting, needle aspiration and foreign body removal.
Practicing in Wyoming, Josh is looking forward to being outdoors. Well versed in the fishing of Western Nebraska, he is excited to scout the local and nearby fishing spots and putting his Wyoming fishing license to good use this spring.
