Ryan Russi, DNP

Ryan Russi, DNP is a Nurse Practitioner at Ivinson's Convenient Care Clinic

Nurse Practitioner Ryan Russi was inspired to make the world a better place through medical care by his nurse mother and firefighter/EMT father. Witnessing their impact on others’ lives led him to nursing school, which is where he fell in love with the Laramie community.

Ryan relocated to Laramie in 2014 from Southern California to attend the University of Wyoming. He was recruited as a varsity member of the men’s swimming and diving team and stayed in Laramie to complete his undergraduate, bachelor’s in nursing, and doctor of nursing practice degrees.

During his time at the University of Wyoming, Ryan worked at Ivinson. When a full-time opportunity at Ivinson Medical Group (IMG) Convenient Care Clinic opened up shortly after his graduation, he jumped at the chance to continue serving the greater Laramie community.

It was an easy decision to stay. The community is so welcoming, and the convenient care clinic nurses are so phenomenal to work with,” Ryan said.

Since 2019, Ryan has cared for patients at Ivinson. While pursuing his DNP, Ryan worked as a registered nurse in the Perioperative Unit Recovery room. As part of his clinical rotation, he worked in IMG’s Convenient Care Clinic as a nurse practitioner student before joining the team full-time after graduation.

While in PACU, patients he has cared for appreciate his ability to make them feel calm, answer all of their questions, and his attentiveness pre-and-post surgery. In May 2020, his exceptional compassionate care made him the 8th nurse in Ivinson Memorial Hospital history to earn a patient-nominated DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

Ryan is dedicated to providing patient care with sincerity and ensuring the best resolution for each patient in a timely fashion. He embodies the spirit of Ivinson, ensuring the health and wellbeing of all.

I can’t stress enough how much I love this community. There’s so much to do here. It’s rewarding to be able to provide quality health to everyone in Laramie and surrounding areas.” Ryan said.

Outside the clinic, you can find Ryan walking his two dogs and enjoying all the outdoor activities Wyoming offers. We look forward to his continued excellence and care for our patients and their families.
