Prior to your surgery, someone from Ivinson will contact you to perform a pre-operative consultation and to set up your interview with the nursing staff. Your surgery will be scheduled through your surgeon’s office prior to this phone interview. Any questions about changing your surgery day/​time, please call your surgeon’s office.

covid-19 testing update

Fully vaccinated patients who are at minimum of 2 weeks past their last vaccine dose may be excluded from pre-procedure COVID-19 testing. Patients must show proof of vaccination. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, should receive a viral test immediately. COVID-19 testing requirements will remain at the discretion of the physician and/​or facility.

The Surgery Center at Ivinson Memorial Hospital is home to three newly-renovated Operating Room suites. With state-of-the-art technology, a Cysto room, an Endoscopy room and the new DaVinci Surgical Robot, we are capable of providing a vast number of surgical procedures. This includes Orthopedic, Urology, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Gastrology and ENT care.

For total joint replacements, we will provide you with a patient guidebook to help lead you through the total joint process.

The Perioperative Unit (Surgery Center) educates and prepares patients for their operation. The PACU (Recovery Room) is a critical area that focuses on making the patient’s transition from the Operating Room (OR) as comfortable and safe as possible. The Inpatient Medical/​Surgical Unit is comprised of surgical patients that stay the night after surgery. This unit focuses on pain control, patient safety and education of the patient while in the hospital and at home.
